Railway Construction

recentwork2

Tar Heel RR recently completed a turnkey project in Greensboro, NC which consisted of many aspects of railway construction. The scope of work included railroad construction, grading, drainage, concrete retaining walls, and paved railroad crossings.

The fuel terminal could only be closed for a 36 hour period which didn’t leave a lot of time to remove asphalt, excavate track bed, build the track, install the crossing material and pave the crossings.  Tar Heel RR was up to the challenge and completed the work in time for the fuel terminal to open on schedule.

Tar Heel RR is currently constructing over 1/2 mile of track and multiple switches for a new chemical plant in South Carolina.  The job consists of railroad construction, grading, sub ballast installation, Stark Track II drip pan, and paved railroad track. The plant is scheduled to open in the summer of 2015 and Tar Heel RR will have the track system in place on time.

We provide Railroad construction, maintenance, and repair service to states throughout the Southeast including: North Carolina; South Carolina; Georgia; Tennessee; Florida; Virginia; West Virginia; and more. Give us a call and we can provide you with an estimate.
